Proposal to divert calls between 18.00-18.30 each day

To enable our teams to have a smoother end of the day process and allow them sufficient time to finalise urgent work before closing the surgery each day we propose to stop answering nonurgent calls to the surgery between the hours of 18.00-18.30 each day.

Between these times if you call the surgery, you will be told that our telephone lines are closed until the next day at 08.00. Please don’t worry though, If you have an urgent medical problem which can not wait until we re-open at 08.00 the next day then you will be diverted to our answering service who will be able to contact our on-call GP if necessary.

Practically we do not anticipate this change will have any impact to the service we provide to our patients.
